Day 4: Chilling out and being interviewed

So the main reason why I visited Tokyo again was because of an interview by a Japanese major company for their staff magazine. I am not allowed to disclose any information right now but hey, I can post my "selfie" first!

The interview took like an hour or so with me sweating profusely because of the walk from the station to the office. (I hope my photos turn out fine...)

Their office building was close to Ginza, so I decided to walk to one of my favourite pastry shop: http://www.quil-fait-bon.com after the interview. They never disappoint me :)

Of course, Ginza is also home to the biggest Uniqlo branch that will sell summer clothes even during winter. There are also other nice shops like LOFT, MUJI and Itoya, a unique stationery shop.

After walking around, I met a few friends at my favourite Yakitori (skewered chicken) place near my university and opposite where I used to stay. http://www.yakitori-hachiman.com

I dreamed about their chicken in Singapore and requested my friend to help me book the seats first.

But we did not fancy their new appetiser this time...

One of my favourite, served with an egg yolk! YUMZ~~~~

Another favourite: Chicken wings! I also love their chicken skin. Unfortunately I gobbled them up before taking any photos...

One of my friend is a sake lover and so we drank~~~
The selection of sake and shochu in this restaurant was amazing~

If you understand Japanese... here is a photo that I dug up from my Tokyo Station album 2 years ago that shows the name of various chicken parts. This is useful if you go to a Yakitori restaurant. I'll see if I can translate them for my second book ;)

P.S. If you are from a tour agency, airline or interested to promote Japanese tourism, please feel free to contact me to explore future collaborations!

  1. Indeed please translate as the parts of the chicken would be nice to know when eating yakitori.

Hopefully you will be able to tell us more about that interview! Best of luck!

    1. No not yet... maybe they need more time to sort out my blabbering because my Japanese is not fantastic...

I absolutely love the food in Japan, so fresh, so tasty~
Hope to have enough savings to visit there again next year!
