Comics: Egg Fried Rice

๐Ÿง“๐ŸปHarlow niece and nephew, sorry Auntie Eva is late doing this #eggfriedrice comic.

๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸปIf you like my comic, smack the share button like how your mom smacked you when you were naughty. Or like how you smack a bag of rice... or smack a watermelon...๐Ÿ‰or honeydew...๐Ÿˆ

How to Dispose your mask correctly

How to Dispose your mask correctly

I have been notified of increasing usage of my comics: "How to dispose your mask correctly" pasted at public spaces, such as lifts and near trash bins. However they were often edited, without proper credits to me, and with their company logo on top of my artwork.

All comics that I drew are copyrighted artwork. While I allow usage for non-commercial purpose, my credits should be there and the artwork unedited. If companies would like to put their logo on my artwork, or replace my trash bin with theirs, they must contact me for permission and purchase of rights at evacomics@gmail.com . Otherwise it is considered as copyright infringement.

Comics: Mask criteria

It's compulsory to wear masks in Singapore now so definitely comfort is priority over effectiveness to block off the particles.

Comics: Contact Tracing and Privacy

There were many people who objected the contact tracing token when the Singapore government wanted to introduce it for people who have no data plan and iPhone users like me who cannot turn on bluetooth all the time. The token does not track location but whom you are in contact with for prolonged period via bluetooth signal. There's no GPS or location involved. I think many people have over-reacted thinking our government has so much resources and free time to know exactly where everyone went to 24/7 ๐Ÿ˜’

Comics: The New Norm

I think lipstick sales will fall...

P.S. If you are in Singapore and want to buy some fabric masks, you can consider buying from https://www.independentmarket.sg/
Use code "STAYHOME" for 10% off.

They are a small business and used to bulk buy my books to sell at their retail stores, so I'm helping them back now. Business is tough because their retail outlets are all closed for 2 months and prolly for another month depending on our infection rate.

Comics: Online yoga class

I think my yoga teachers work very hard during online class sessions! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

I’ve been doing online yoga classes with Yoga Inc weekly and the rest of the days were 1-hour long morning walks. I find that it helps relief stress and any built up frustration from being trapped at home (aside from dehumidifying my body) and hope it works for any of you feeling the same ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Comics: Only you know what's best

When I first started and book sales was bad, many followers advised me on what to do despite I was already doing what they had already suggested. Many times, you don't really have to listen to what other people say as only you know what is best for yourself.

P.S. Book sales is still not great XD Royalty payment might be delayed (if there's any) due to pandemic. However my digital commissioned work is going strong!

Comics: Copyrights 101

I did this comic because of the recent incident that my artwork was used by the Malaysian government for their mask distribution without my knowledge nor credit:

A closer look:

Here is my original artwork posted on my social media channels in Feb:

There were 2 versions, this was the first version with my eyes open. The second expanded version had my eyes closed to look sick: https://www.facebook.com/evacomics/posts/10157174688703315

As it was posted with another instructional comic, so I did not sign this particular page. Because the comic was used for a good cause and given away for free with the masks to protect people from the virus, so I accepted the apology from APM, the department in-charge of the infographics, that they did not know who drew it. However I would like to emphasize that it doesn't mean you can happily take anything from the internet to redistribute it without permission from the copyright owner, even if it is for a non-profit purpose. I hope they learnt their lesson and of course I will remember to sign every page of my comic from now on...

Comics: Covid-19 Gentle reminders

We're going into a semi-lockdown for a month in Singapore from tomorrow onwards so I had been busy doing my last-minute shopping as well. I was also trying to fix some problems in Giphy and Tenor platform which doesn't seem to be working... But I will continue to try fix it so all stickers can be found on their api (which means on IG stories and Whatsapp). Meanwhile if you are interested to fund the production, you can become my Patron here: https://www.patreon.com/evacomics I wonder how is the rest doing? Hopefully a vaccine will be clinically available some time end of the year or early next year to truly solve this pandemic disaster. Meanwhile I will still continue to work from home, take care everyone!
