When I was studying in US, I wanted to hang around and talk to my classmates, but many just dashed off to do their own things. However when I was studying in Japan, I wanted to leave asap to do my own thing but somehow many people wandered around to chit chat :/

    He-he, Batman is coolest guy in that company. He has batmobile.

    BTW, 'in Japan" picture looks for me as after test time, while "in US" picture looks for me as after class time. Usually, people gather together after test to discuss results, and they are leaving immediately after class. Does it means that every class in Japan ends with some kind of test?

      Ha-ha ... first I thought that Batman is searching trashcans for explosives or something else. But, after I decided that it is bat-mobile.

      So, story about coworkers drinking after work has a prequel. I mean, gathering together after any kind of activity is Japanese tradition then. Very smart.

    Do You know what I noticed today? I studied wallpaper on my desktop, and discovered that it is for MARCH month! I checked all Your posts and ... there were no any APRIL wallpaper.

Boiled coke and ginger lemon for cough

This post has nothing to do with Japan, except that I have the tendency to fall sick during long Japanese holidays like year end and golden week. So with weak Japanese medicine not working, and even with kiwis and lemon honey drink all failing, I resorted to my friend's advice: coke and ginger . It sounded unusual so I googled and found the recipe. Amazingly, many people swear that it works wonder to cure their coughs and sore throats, so I decided to try out of desperation because I had already been coughing for four days and four nights. Preparation: Put a can of coke (around 350ml) and sliced ginger into a pot and bring to boil, simmer for 10 mins. You can either add lemon when it was simmering or squeezed lemon juice after you pour into your mug. *I couldn't get old ginger from my Japanese supermarket so I used young ginger that was not so spicy. Verdict: I couldn't believe it, but it tasted rather good! Even my friend who disliked ginger said this remedy taste...
