Interviewed by Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal for their staff magazine

Earlier in Oct last year on my post about my trip to Japan, I mentioned that one of the reasons I returned was because I was invited for a company's staff magazine interview. One of their sections is called "TALK!", featuring someone not from the company who is actively promoting themselves outside of Japan. (Click here to download a bigger size or click here for the translated article by Shizuhi!)

So now, the article has been published and I can reveal which company it is!
TADAA~ Yes, it was my honour and privilege to be invited for an interview for an article in Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal's staff magazine called "鉄の絆" (literally means connection through metal, but you should imagine it more poetically). Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal is the world's second largest steelmaker, so you can imagine how nervous I was...

You don't see it here, but I sweated non-stop throughout the interview! So much so that the photographer had difficulty shooting me without my tissue paper *SWEAT*

They mailed me several copies, I think I will distribute them during my events with my Japanese university alumni :P

Special thanks to Editor Manager Ms. Junko Arai from Nikkatsu Advertising Agency, PR Center Senior Manager Ms. Minako Kagami from Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal and Photographer Mr. Satoshi Sugano from AZL for giving me this honour.

  1. Congratulations, Eva-san, You are the best :)

He-he, You should sell these magazines with Your autographs then. I'll buy one with great pleasure.

He-he, I am not good in Japanese, but, what does mean 画白さ? I suppose something like '(bright) reflection'. Kinda, "I want to send all people in the world manga reflecting difference in culture"? (比べてわかる文化の画白さマンガで世界中の人に届けたい) ... here my ability to read Japanese is over. BTW, what was that interview about?

    ewww ...

    1. Haha 面白さ means interest
I think it can be translated as "I want to deliver interesting aspect of cultures through comparisons in my comics to the world."
