I was approached by a company founded in Singapore last year called Blokko, to design a toy from my Evacomics series. The portal aims to matchmake creators and 3D modellers to make toys that will be 3D printed, while payment and shipment will be all handled by their partners and we get a cut from sales. I was told that the first modeller they found did not do a good job of my hair so they found another modeller for me called Rachel Collier , a professional 3D artist based in the US, who did a pretty good 3D rendering of my design. Of course, I was skeptical at the quality of 3D printing at first because the 3D printed stuff that I had seen so far were no where near a decent level. But when they showed me the toys they tested out with their vendor, I was surprised that it was actually quite decent. In Singapore, you only give red packets (hongbao) after you are married, as this is traditionally viewed as becoming an adult. As an adult and senior, you give hongbao to juniors to wish them good luck. As you know, people get married young long time ago but it is common to be still single after 30s now. So this creates an awkward moment to receive red packets from younger relatives (like 5 years younger?) . Wishing everyone a great new year with good health, fortune and career!

Based on real story at a sushi restaurant...

When I was studying overseas, I skyped with my family every Sunday for an hour and we would talk about everything that is happening around us. When I was back once or twice a year during vacation, friends and family were also very enthusiastic to feed me with local dishes and catch up. But once I come back for good, things changed. Friends were no longer enthusiastic to meet up, since there is a lot of time anyway. There was also less interaction in the family. Perhaps being away for a long time sometimes is better?

In Japan, kids from young can go to school themselves and even help to buy groceries nearby. Many move out from home when they enter university to be closer to their schools. Of course, this is not *everyone*. On the other hand in Singapore, we are very pampered from young till married, not just staying with parents but also have clothes washed and meals cooked by mum.
