We are flooded by ads from e-commerce platforms on our TV and YouTube videos in Singapore everyday. They initially started out as just a 11.11 (singles day on 11 Nov) sale but soon became a monthly affair throughout the year. I hope they give us a break!

It’s the 👻hungry ghost month in Chinese culture when it is believed that souls of the departed will be released to roam around the living world. Offerings are often made to appease them so they will not create mischief. However I think you would agree with me that humans are scarier, so this is a reminder to be kinder in our words 🌼

Sorry readers, forgot to update my blog on Monday!

You might have heard of some names but they are part of the Five Arts in Chinese culture that have been practiced since ancient times. How many do you know or practice? I personally have practiced Qigong and Taichi for a short period of time before I pick up yoga. I also visited TCM practitioners and have been poked with needles many times. I also learnt Bazi and Qimen (I only do readings for family and close friends at the moment😅).

Just realised that I forgot to upload this last month, so here it is!

I used to be affected by negative comments but after many years of experience, I decided to just remove and block the offensive comments if I see them. I have to accept the fact that creators cannot please everyone and there are surely people who don’t like you and/or your work. A hater will always hate and even become happier with the attention, so never give them the opportunity.

It’s so fast to gain back when you just lose it… now I’m trying my best to not over eat because yoga studios are still closed and there’s no dine in. Hope we can reopen successfully next week!

I started to brainstorm this mini-series around 1+ years ago but never got the time to finish all at one go until recently. So I targeted to post this after I reach my big 4 on Saturday (I'm officially 40 now, haha). Hope you all like it!

🪐Saturn retrogrades from 23 May after Pluto (27 Apr), followed by Mercury (29 May), Jupiter (20 Jun), Neptune (25 Jun) and Uranus (19 Aug). With so much going on during this period, particularly in May-June, it will be quite a ride for many of us. The lunar eclipse on 26 May will amplify the effect of these energies. Hence we need to do our part (follow the regulations) to keep COVID cases low, otherwise it might explode during this period. Financial markets are also not spared with a lot of volatility and FUD. Things are not going to go as planned for many people. But if you’re prepared for it, it’s gonna be ok👌🏻. This is also a good time to rest💤 , take a break☕️ and rethink your plan for the future 📝.

Short-lived but will do for now.

I sweat so easily my mask will be drenched by the time I reach the lift. In Singapore, people doing indoor yoga are now expected to wear masks throughout the class. I'll see if I can get used to my sweaty masks on my Tuesday class...

Anything for attention, such as the youtuber who trespassed SpaceX to video the rockets.
