Comics: Online yoga class

Image
I think my yoga teachers work very hard during online class sessions! 💪🏻 I’ve been doing online yoga classes with Yoga Inc weekly and the rest of the days were 1-hour long morning walks. I find that it helps relief stress and any built up frustration from being trapped at home (aside from dehumidifying my body) and hope it works for any of you feeling the same 🙏🏻 (I’m now on Telegram too! https://t.me/evacomics )

Comics: Only you know what's best

Image
When I first started and book sales was bad, many followers advised me on what to do despite I was already doing what they had already suggested. Many times, you don't really have to listen to what other people say as only you know what is best for yourself. P.S. Book sales is still not great XD Royalty payment might be delayed (if there's any) due to pandemic. However my digital commissioned work is going strong!

Comics: Copyrights 101

I did this comic because of the recent incident that my artwork was used by the Malaysian government for their mask distribution without my knowledge nor credit: Photo credit: Sky Loo A closer look: Photo credit: Sky Loo Here is my original artwork posted on my social media channels in Feb: There were 2 versions, this was the first version with my eyes open. The second expanded version had my eyes closed to look sick:  https://www.facebook.com/evacomics/posts/10157174688703315 As it was posted with another instructional comic, so I did not sign this particular page. Because the comic was used for a good cause and given away for free with the masks to protect people from the virus, so I accepted the apology from APM, the department in-charge of the infographics, that they did not know who drew it. However I would like to emphasize that it doesn't mean you can happily take anything from the internet to redistribute it without permission from the copyright owner,

Comics: Covid-19 Gentle reminders

Image
We're going into a semi-lockdown for a month in Singapore from tomorrow onwards so I had been busy doing my last-minute shopping as well. I was also trying to fix some problems in Giphy and Tenor platform which doesn't seem to be working... But I will continue to try fix it so all stickers can be found on their api (which means on IG stories and Whatsapp). Meanwhile if you are interested to fund the production, you can become my Patron here: https://www.patreon.com/evacomics I wonder how is the rest doing? Hopefully a vaccine will be clinically available some time end of the year or early next year to truly solve this pandemic disaster. Meanwhile I will still continue to work from home, take care everyone!

Comics: How to reuse your mask and dispose them correctly

Image
If you are healthy, there is no need to wear. But I understand some people are still very panicky and worried so you can try this to prolong your mask life so those who really need masks can get them. This guide is translated from a live event organised by Singapore Press to aid donation funds to Singapore Red Cross to help at Wuhan. The advises are given by Dr. Leong Hoe Nam (Infectious Disease Specialist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital). Usually disposal masks are only to be used once and disposed. However because we are facing global shortage, so those healthy ones who are still worried and still insist to wear can try. Full video:  https://www.zaobao.com.sg/livestream/project/story20200209-1027124 (01:00:00) This is alike to disposing your um, sanitary napkins... which one of my readers pointed out :P

We're not even in Red yet but we are acting like one, except not being afraid of joining crowds of panic buying at supermarkets...

Comics: After Coronavirus is Over

Image
So it’s better to wear a mask only when necessary... 🙃 1) If you are sick (fever, coughing or sneezing). 2) If you need to take care of sick, e.g. work in healthcare. 3) If you will be in an enclosed area that is poorly ventilated for a long time. 4) Have existing medical condition that makes you more vulnerable. Otherwise it is better to leave those extra masks for those who really need it instead of panic buying and causing out of stock everywhere!

Comics: Coronavirus in Singapore

Image
I find this the most puzzling in Singapore because there are healthy people, whole families and joggers, wearing these surgical masks during this #coronavirus or #wuhanvirus outbreak... I also noticed that some people are wearing oversized masks and some (usually elderlies) not securing their face masks at the nose tip. I hope one day we could be more responsible and wear masks when we are really sick like coughing and sneezing to prevent spreading to other people.
